Release of the Nexus One on Verizon Delayed
The highly anticipated Nexus One Smartphone from Google that is being manufactured by HTC has hit a roadblock. The Nexus One phone that was expected to be released at the CTIA 2010 on the Verizon network seems to have run into some bad weather. We aren’t really sure if this delay has been cause because of HTC, the manufacturer or Verizon, the network. Though, many people say that Verizon is the one behind the delay of the release of the Nexus One phone. The Nexus one phone is one of the very few Smartphones that will be released across all networks in the USA.
The existing Apple vs. HTC lawsuit seems to be causing this whole ‘traffic jam’ of sorts. With the Nexus One phone already being released on AT&T and T-Mobile, Verizon customers were eagerly awaiting the release of the phone, tipped to be the ‘iPhone killer’. If you’re a Verizon customer don’t be pulling your hair as yet, because your version of the Nexus One phone is expected to be upgraded to Android version 2.2 and also have additional RAM. The release may be delayed by a week or so, but one can never be sure.
They wouldn’t want to delay it too much as they would then risk competing against one of the most popular phones in the world, the iPhone (4G). Google had initially decided to launch the Nexus One phone on 23rd March, 2010, which would be just in time for the CTIA 2010. Unfortunately due to the circumstances they have delayed the release of the Nexus one phone and one has to wait and see if it will be released before the iPhone 4G is released.
There are many theories doing the rounds as to why the release of the Nexus one phone has been delayed and who has been the cause for it. All we can do is hope that the phone is out in the market as soon as possible (on Verizon), so that we can get our hands on that beauty!
