Nexus One Phone gets Multitouch

Though the iPhone is known for Multitouch, many people have wondered why the Nexus One wasn’t shipped with this capability.  Though it could be a patent issue, an intrepid hacker, nicknamed “Cyanogen”, has given the Android-based phone multitouch capabilities.  While it remains to be seen if Google plans to implement this themselves, it gives users the option to use such abilities.  The hardware is obviously capable.

The same hacker is also known for giving the Nexus One phone SSH support, as well as more advanced USB support.
